Abramovitz Law Offices is a virtual NYC law firm founded by Rachel Abramovitz.
Rachel Abramovitz is a seasoned attorney who offers clients over 30 years of experience providing counsel on matters of corporate and business law, privacy, HIPAA Privacy Official services, DPO services, FDA pharmaceutical regulatory compliance (pre and post approval), content and software licensing and more. In addition to her law practice, Rachel was a voting member of the NYU Langone Medical Center IRB (ethics committee overseeing clinical research) from 2011 to 2019. She presents frequently at industry conferences on clinical research, healthcare and HIPAA compliance and has published articles on HIPAA in clinical research and legal issues surrounding Phase IV studies.
Rachel is a graduate of the Michlala Leminhal (College of Management) School of Law in Israel (LL.B., 1995) and the University of San Diego School of Law (LL.M.C., 2000). She is admitted to practice in New York, California (inactive) and Israel (inactive). She is fluent in Hebrew and English and is studying Arabic.

Rachel's son, Basim Omar, is a graduate of Campbellsville High School (2021) and is studying for his Associate's degree in performing arts at Westchester Community College, in Elmsford, NY. Basim recently joined ABLAW as a paralegal certified through SUNY Purchase (Paralegal and Advanced Paralegal).
Basim is a skilled legal research assistant who brings excellent writing skills, good insight and strong team building capability to the table. Basim has good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Basim is available to assist ABLAW clients in need of paralegal support and is also available to answer questions and assist in scheduling meetings with Rachel.
In his spare time, Basim enjoys drone cinematography, musical arts and free diving.
